Welcome to the world of organic semiconductors !

supported by

This web page informs about a novel class of materials: Organic semiconductors! These materials, either based on polymers or "small-molecule" structures, offer exciting new possibilities for basic research and applications.

Recently, organic semiconductors have been used to realize novel, self-emitting display based on organic light emitting diodes (OLED). Also, there are good prospects for further applications, such as organic solar cells and "plastic" electronics.

It is the aim of this webpage to give an overview about the field of organic semiconductors, both for a basic science and for an application-orientied audience. These contents will be prepared in the future, step by step. For the moment, we provide list of links which should give access to most of the groups and companies active in the field.
